  1. pill determined to get that special discord role back
  2. who is that mystery man
  3. please don't add random, unplayed maps to the competitive pool
  4. Best discord shitpost copypasta: publicbussystem - Today at 9:23 PM I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Reflex, is in fact, LAN/Reflex, or as I've recently taken to calling it, LAN plus Reflex. Reflex is not an event unto itself, but rather another component of a fully functioning LAN party made useful by the ethernet cables, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full AFPS as defined by Qualx A late entry, but a solid one. References many tried and trusted shitposts under the unifying framework of the infamous GNU/Linux meme. PBS has done some groundbreaking research into this meme and it really shows. Finally, the offhand almost-insult to Qualx really ties it all together. Additionally it suggest directions for possible future work, namely Timcon LAN memes. We've had a noticeable increase in Timcon LAN related spam recently and I think this could be a fruitful topic for future shitposts in a vein similar to the proselytising 'play more promode' meme.
  5. I think the current t2 should be replaced with the clean version, it actually looks better.
  6. ‚ÄčI think it's fine for small invite tournaments where the players are well known.
  7. This the same boring reply made anytime someone doesn't like a change. I don't want it like Quakelive - it doesn't have air control. I played maybe 3 games of CPMA before Reflex (in fact the CPMA style movement turned me off the game initially). You can implement any movement system and "get used to it", that doesn't make all systems equal. I have the impression that the majority prefer 0.36 movement (even if they are willing to play 0.37).
  8. Really hate the gravity and movement changes. The game feels slow and awkward to me now. I really doubt CTF will be the saving grace of reflex as everyone seems to think and balancing the game to accommodate it is a mistake in my opinion (assuming that's a big part of why the changes were implemented). It's also telling how the majority of people describe the movement as 'ok', with many acknowledging it as a downgrade. I don't want the game to be just acceptable, I want it to feel awesome like it did before.
  9. So why do people need to advertise their preferences? If you choose to not play with timers, why does your opponent need to be made aware of that fact? I think what you actually want is to advertise your preference as to how your opponent should play, which is ridiculous in my opinion. What if I choose to ignore your tag (which will be the case given that any random guy you meet won't even know what it is)? You ask me if I am using timers and we have the stupid timer conversation either way, so what exactly is the tag gaining us?
  10. Free CRT from the dump. Up to 160hz-200hz depending on the model!
  11. What a terrible thread. Wow.
  12. just put this guy in the tester group please ^^
  13. I think splitting the standard ruleset would be the worst possible option. I have my preference, but I would prefer either timers or no timers over a per-server decision.
  14. I want to see what tf2 style capture point would be like, including the forward respawning and respawn timers. Not having medic would remove some depth, maybe think of a way to include item control instead.
