    Heyyo, welcome to the EHT series of duel maps. This post is for me to put updates on maps previously released and maybe post new ones, without having to clog the forums for every new map.   2. Beginner's duel

    This map is a prototype, designed for beginners to enjoy and learn duel mode while playing. When I say "beginners", I really mean people who barely know the game or any other afps, or just don't know what is going on in duel. I often play with such people, because I get my friends to test the game as soon as I can, and what I learned is that we don't even imagine what is difficult for them. Obviously, 2 main components are : WEAPONS (collecting and switching weapons, thinking of what weapon to select while fighting) MAP (orienting themselves on the map is difficult, that's why they run ramdomly most of the time) they don't even think about items at this point Problem is, before having just a glance of the tactical interest of the game, there is a long way to go... Therefore for them the game is just about wandering and shooting what is moving, and of course getting crushed =). My idea is to have a map that is way more simple than usual duel maps, but still fun =), so that it's less noisy (in terms of information), and make it easier and faster for beginners to come to focus on what matters (in theory). So on this map, the main features are : Only main weapons are present (2RL, 1 IC, 1 BR) 1 GA and 1 YA (ya armor is in middle of the map in the air so easy and fun to punish. 2x 25hp and 1 50hp lots of double jumps to train, also 2 triple jumps in BR room (and it is possible to do one tele jump & one stair jump but quite optionnal) All the spawn points are very close to weapons The map plan is very simple, easy to learn There is just one 1-way tele, cause teles cause a lot of confusion for new players Feedback and ideas are welcome on 2 aspects : - On the concept of having more simple duel maps for beginners in general. - On the map in itself.     Totally not rearranged Blood Run. /s This is an attempt for a more slow paced, traditional QL map. Credits to: - ztn for the original Blood Run, one of my favorite QL maps - chortas for making the reflex port of Blood Run port, which helped out with some metrics during mapping.   4. [1v1] xy7 - Battery

    xy7 - Battery by: Xytaglyph with art & design help from: messik This is a 2 atrium 1 versus 1 map with a design philosophy similar to cpm3a or catalyst. The map is fairly standard with 1 Red Armor, 1 Mega Health, and 2 Yellow Armor. The defining feature of this map is the fact that there is no Bolt Rifle, while being a map where Ion Cannon is very strong. Cheers, and enjoy the map. EDIT 3/5/17: Coloured the map, changed some stuff. The floor under RA/ above MH is now exposed, not sure how this will affect the speed of the map. Some of the feedback from playtesting was the map was pretty fast paced, and momentum is more important than anything. Any further feedback would be greatly appreciated.

This is done to help locate and match the players. Discord / Challonge / in-game name must be the same or similar. Competing: You will have to check-in on the Challonge bracket. If you fail to check-in on time, the Challonge website will remove you from the tournament. Check-ins will start a ½ hour before the tournament begins. The tournament is not affected by players signing up and missing the tournament. Feel free to sign-up for any tournaments regardless if you know you can make it or not. Tournament admins will announce when the bracket is final and the tournament has started in the The Dojo discord channel. When this is announced, refresh your Challonge bracket. An admin will contact you and your opponent and will give you an IP address to connect to. BE AUTONIMOUS - After you’ve completed your series, make sure to enter the scores on the Challonge bracket. If there is any disputes contact an admin immediately A connection test is highly recommended before starting a series. Ruleset: Play on the servers provided, or if agreed upon you may choose your own. Players are expected to behave in a reasonable and respectable manner. Players may be disqualified, suspended or possibly banned from future tournaments for not doing so. If you were to ever get disconnected in the middle of a match, you will automatically forfeit the current match. Opposing players may allow to restart the disconnected match if they agree to do so. Disconnections should be immediately reported to a tournament admin. The tournament is double elimination. All players will have the chance to compete in a minimum of two series. All series will be played in a best two out of three format. Grand finals will be a best of five. Map selection will begin with a roll in console, lowest roll wins first ban (Ban, Ban, Pick, Pick).     This is a small 1v1 map that I recently updated. I've worked on a lot, but have no idea how it actually plays. Any feedback on the look, flow, or general gameplay of the map would certainly be appreciated.   13. Mapping question

    Howdy folks. Got a bit of a two sided question here. Working on a training/duel map from the older Q1 days and I couldn't see to be able to get a working door. Are there no working doors? Specifically team based doors (one team can go through and the other can not). Not being able to make a proper door (like I wanted) - I opted to using teleporters. But same issue, I could not find a teamclip function that would allow TeamA to go though and not TeamB (TF days). Anyone have any input on how to get either a door or a working teamclip?     Multiplex Workshop 1MH, 1RA, 2YA, all weapons From the F-Zero GX Wiki: "A long course designed like one of the many lofty skyscrapers. The track is composed of a loop, a chicane, many straightaways, and a minefield in the second half of the course. Approximate Length: 16500 m Course Order: Ruby #5" Multiplex is a duel map with heavy focus on fluid movement and prediction projectiles. Ramps and jumps are placed in such a way as to tie the lower and upper levels together, making them distinct only in the main atriums. Mid-map is a "cross loop" where players can quickly change from low to high elevation to avoid opponents or to gain a height advantage. All "important" jumps to major items are designed to be of moderate difficulty, but every item can be obtained with no trickjumps through the use of a slower route. Any feedback is much appreciated.
  15. The Sane Asylum [thct5 remix]

    After multiple requests, I have returned to finish updating tehace's thct5 - The Sane Asylum with a more modern, clean look; in the vein of the [Clean] version of thct7 - Catalyst. This project started as an archival project during the switch from ReflexFiles to the Steam workshop in an effort to bring old maps up to snuff with the then-standard of map design. I picked this map not because it had any serious competitive play rates, but because it was always a personal favorite and I didn't want it to be lost in the transition or forgotten to history. Thanks to both tehace for permission to update the map and to /fragile for providing some late game feedback. Big thanks to @xero who helped me scale the map correctly and made some pretty useful suggestions. I've therefore labeled the map "lolo_duel1x" in your honor. I'm not sure whether this can be called a single atrium map or not. It's a weird one. 2x GAs, 1x YA, 1x RA, and 1x MH. There's also 1x 50hp, 5x (?) 25hp, and 5x armor shards and small health.
