  1. GoaHud - Minimal Animated HUD

Available in Steam Workshop: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=884406684 I decided to create a HUD that should look good while keeping it minimal. Most of the UI elements have a slight fade in/out animations that should not hinder the competitive play, and they can be fine-tuned or disabled if they bother you. Feel free to leave feedback or suggestions
  2. Effects Volume Value Textbox

The Effects Volume value text box doesn't update the value after it's entered. My build number is 1.0.7.
  3. [1.0.6] TeamHud lua breaks

I was on my own client hosted game with bots, game mode was ctf, I was adding bots and it spit out this error when I kicked one. I cant repro it. lua: [string "base/internal/ui/widgets/TeamHud.lua"]:108: invalid order function for sorting I might have had show self off in the TeamHud settings. Another thing I noticed, if show self is off in spectator it wont show the person you are spectating.
  4. [1.0.4] Training Scoreboard Tooltip

In training open the scoreboard, hover mouse over someone who has a time from an old version, the tool tip shows on everyone else as well.
  5. UI Inconsistencies

This is minor but needs to be cleaned up. Im only going to list some of them because I don't know each one off hand. UI elements by their corner style: Rounded Corners No Outline: ScoreBoard UI ToolTips on the Awards Page Training Goal List Buffs Health/Armour Bar Ammo Count Rounded Corners With Outline: ChatBox KillFeed Square Corners No outline: UI ToolTips Menu UI Callvote Popup f1/f2 vote thingy Pickup Timers Scoreboard buttons (View steamprofile/friends) Inner Health/Armour Bar box
  6. CurtHud

I didn't know what else to call it, here's my hud I made myself. Has a weapon rack, health and armor, speed, large ammo counter for the center, and buff timers. It has plenty of options, and I can add more if requested, including changing the background opacity, hiding or showing parts of the hud, what head to display, and hiding the Melee and Burst Gun slots. And now some screenshots... Download the latest version off the Steam Workshop!
  7. Hey, I made a circular speed dial type thing. The two things can be moved independantly of each other, and armor shows tier (r,y,g) let me know what you guys think! Current version: kemorghud0.1.lua

  9. tfC's Division HUD

Hi guys, I've just started learning LUA and wanted to create a minimal HUD similar to The Division so I don't have to have big widgets all over my screen. The HUD also has movement on the y axis to emulate 3D movement similar to the one found in The Division. Currently the HUD contains a TRUE HP BAR, TRUE HP NUMBER, MEGA OVERLAY, ARMOR BAR and AMMO COUNT FOR CURRENT WEAPON. The HUD style is based off of DP2 HUD as it was originally going to be a TRUE HP BAR to go along with the DP2 HUD. The HUD is available to DOWNLOAD OFF THE WORKSHOP I've also created a short video if you don't want to go through the effort of installing it to check it out. Would love to hear some feedback on where to improve or any suggestions of things to add to the HUD.
  10. Basically it shows you how fast you captured the flag. It should only work while CTF is the active game mode. Some code borrowed from @meowgli teamupdates widget and the default race time widget. MFastCaps.lua
  11. At the moment the map editor lacks a few functions. This script pack aims to help with shortage of options. If you have any suggestion/request, share and I will look into it What it supports at the moment: Dial control - used for rotating various elements, including rotation, snap angles and daytime. Also supports mouse wheel scrolling. EditBoxExpand - when the current text doesnt fit entirely, when you hover over the control it expands accordingly. Multiple editing - you can now edit entities of the same type at the same time. (does NOT work with ColorPicker and ContentBrowser) WARNING: be very careful when editing multiple entities. Occasionally the game disconnects me because of some weird error. <removed due to instability with no solution in sight> Properties window can now be dragged. 12. When you cannot pick up an armour because of the tier system (PQL rules) it puts a symbol over the item. I feel like this could be done on the UI side of things. I know viserated or kovaak or someone had it so it put a vertical bar across the armour bar UI thing to show you how low the armour needs to be to pick up the lower tier. This might be good for newer players who don't remember the exact number you need to be at.
  13. So I just violated the default Crosshairs.lua and made it so I can use sliders to set colour under options. Both for the fill colour and the stroke outline. I didn't bother keeping the cvars. It is all now saved in the config and only(?) customizable with the settings under options/widgets/CrosshairsMu. Colour fill/stroke by health will override the slider settings. CrosshairsMu.zip Updated 26/11-15 Added ugly hack to get stroke to work on all the default crosshairs. The more complex patterns will not have a uniform outline though. It is basically drawing the crosshair twice in slightly different sizes so the ouline will be either on the inside or outside.
  14. Remember previously browsed menu slide and scrolled down/up position. Meaning when you for instance go to settings, change mouse sensitivity, resume game and then press ESC again the menu would pop back up to the slide where you changed mouse sensitivity. It's annoying to have to browse the menu all over again when you're doing delicate adjustments where you're repeatedly changing values and testing in game. This would be very convenient for map editor menu as well, mesh browser especially.
  15. Hi I would like to share my suggestion that it would be very nice to have little preview pictures for maps in the menu section, where you will start a game and where you can select a map. I think it would be a nice design-addition to have the mapnames as they are now but a but with the rectangle to be a bit thicker and having the mappreview-pic as an underlay under the map-name-text. Additionally adding a checkbox somewhere there in that menu, which will enable a preview window, that will additionally show the complete map-preview-pictures, when you select one of the maps. Greets, I'm liking the latest additions to the game! Keep doing the good stuff! Cafijn
  16. Save the file to your "reflexfps\base\internal\ui\widgets" folder https://raw.githubusercontent.com/MADJIHADx/MADs-Reflex-Scripts/master/madhudspeed.lua Here it is in action http://i.imgur.com/V0lwCZ1.gifv
  17. Are you boltable?

This widget shows how many Bolts to the face you can take before you die. If the answer is one, it will show the text Boltable! TerBoltable.lua Screenshot
  18. I've made a simple radial UPS meter just for fun and scripting practice (since I'm a total nub, even with Lua). It shows your current UPS and temporarily stores your top speed so you can easily see improvement. Download: https://www.dropbox.com/s/gz00xn5f3lqgbf1/DGSpeedometer.lua?dl=0 Screen:
  19. Hello everyone, I will use this post to share the widgets that I have created for myself with the world! The repository where I will keep my up to date widgets (and configs) can be found here: https://github.com/ziel980/reflexfps-dnl Most aspects of my widgets are easily customizable by simply changing the CONSTANTS (denoted by ALL CAPS) at the beginning of the file. All newer widgets will make use of the in game widget options, some of the old ones need to be updated to use the in-game menu. dnl_ItemTimers Right click -> Save as EDIT: In its current implementation, pulsing large icons causes sizeable fps drops for me. If you experience fps drops when pulsing use a smaller icon size for now. A downward growing item timer widget. Features: icon pulsing on item pickup and / or spawn, item icons with shadow and timer text with shadow. In the below screenshot the RA was just picked up, while the YA just spawned. All aspects of the icon pulsing are easily customizable. dnl_SpeedOMeter Right click -> Save as A simple ups (units per second) meter. dnl_JumpSpeeds Right click -> Save as A simple jump speeds display. Displays all jump speeds from the past x jumps or from the past y seconds. dnl_PlayerAngles Right click -> Save as A simple player model angles display. Displays pitch and yaw. dnl_MegaHealthRemaining Right click -> Save as Shows you how much damage you can take before the mega health spawn timer begins if you picked up the mega health. In the below screenshot the spawn timer for the mega health will begin when the player takes 43 points of damage. dnl_SpectatorRadar Right click -> Save as A simple radar for spectators! Shows the player as a white dot, enemies as red dots and allies as green dots. This one comes with an in-game options menu so you can easily change the scale (zoom) of the radar. In the screenshot below, the player you see is the red dot on the radar. Please post any comments, questions, suggestions or requests here and feel free to use and modify these widgets!
  20. Amari_HUD release!

Hi guys, I am new to Reflex but have always been a Quake III CPMA fan. I love the direction and the starting base for this game and will enjoy following its development. When I saw how much of the interface got exposed I couldn't wait to jump right in and start messing with everything. This is my ideal interface as I think it looks very clean and gives you a lot of information without overloading the screen. Screenshots: (Click to view full size) Download: Amari_HUD.rar (1.0 MB) Installation: Extract the "Amari_HUD" folder into your "+reflex_directory+baseinternalui" folder. Extract "Amari_HUD.cfg" into your Reflex's main directory. Launch the game, open your console, and type loadconfig Amari_HUD. Uninstallation: Delete the "Amari_HUD" folder in your "+reflex_directory+baseinternalui" folder. Delete "Amaru_HUD.cfg" in your Reflex's main directory. Open your console and type ui_reset to restore everything to the default settings. Features: Clean non-disruptive information. Health and Armor icon colored according to their current values. Low and empty ammo warnings in text. Timer changes color during 5 minute and 1 minute period. Timer plays 5 minute and 1 minute warning sounds (stolen from Q3). Mini scoreboard in-game (). Disabled death screen (ui_show_widget ScreenEffects 1 to re-enable). Removed redundant weapons on WeaponRack. TODO: Think of a better name for the HUD. Add ups, fps, and network information. Add sound effects for 5 minute and 1 minute warnings. Credits: Micalexan for their it pretty much started and inspired this. DraQu for their I used his edited version of MiniScores and learned how to hide the Melee and Stake Gun on the WeaponRack from looking at their HUD. Bonuspunkt for all of their lua scripts, they were very helpful and I highly recommend checking them out. If you have any feedback, suggestions, or any problems with the HUD feel free to leave a post below it's always welcome!
  21. DQHud Release

This is a hud that I've been working on for a while now. I'm learning Lua as I go, so there's still lots to do. I wanted to make a hud that was faithful to my QL hud, but included some changes that I'd prefer to have. Screenshots: (Click to view full size) Download link for latest version: DQHud1.13 Installing: I've included two files in the Zip. The DQHud folder, which you can drop anywhere in steamsteamappscommonreflexbase and it will get loaded.A text file with console commands for the widgets, which you need to paste to the end of the game.cfg file. You'll need to manually hide the following widgets: AmmoCount, ArmorBar, Buffs, HealthBar, PickupTimers, PlayerStatus, ScreenEffects, Timer, TrueHealth, WeaponName, WeaponRack. You can do this easily from the options menu in-game, which contains the new Widgets section. Use the Visible toggle to hide the chosen widget. Feel free to post any feedback or suggestions below! ------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE 17.4.205 Fixed the hud for 0.33.4 (PickupTimers was looking very lovely)Added PlayerSpeed widget on the top right corner of the screen------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE 15.4.2015 Added a new widget that displays frag messages in Duel mode. Provided by Qualx.Adjusted icon shadows (AmmoCount, WeaponRack, PickupTimers, HealthBar, ArmorBar, Timer)ScreenEffects hidden by default. Previously "-"Stake is now displayed on the WeaponRack by default------------------------------------------------------------- INITIAL RELEASE 12.4.2015 Axe and stake gun have been removed from the WeaponRack.TrueHealth has been removed. When at 100 or below health/armor, the text will change color to yellow. When at 50 or below health/armor, the text will change color to redTimer counts up by default. Counting down code can be found inside Timer.luaWhen there's 5 minutes left in the game, the Timer color will change to yellow.AmmoCount changes color to red when you're running low.High priority on the To-Do List ScoreboardChat box once it gets exposed to LuaSpectator ui (PlayerStatus)The MiniScores widget is a slightly modified version of Bonuspunkt's widget, which can be found here: The DuelFragMessages widget was provided for the hud by Qualx and the original code can be found here: link
  22. SP-HUD Release :>

Hi, I did a thing. I got some requests to release my HUD, I figured this would be a decent place to do it. Download link! Here's what it looks like:
  23. HUD Feedback Thread!

Post screenshots of your in-development HUDs and get feedback! If you are posting a complete HUD please provide a download link :> I'll get us started with a little something I made: I wanted a HUD that I can clearly see in my peripheral vision, something without small numbers that I would have to actively look at to see what the values were. Download: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ilqmewgxwzbpbiq/SP-HUD%20RFX.zip?dl=0
  24. Re-binding items in the menu ui will unbind items in the editor mode. For example rebinding rockets/6 in the UI will unbind "placing pickup items" in editor mode. Other than that - cheers for the great update.
