[feature request] Midair Accolade Widget

I would absolutely love to see a new widget added for accolades/medals, especially an accolade that is shown on your screen after getting an air rocket or air nade. When I used to play RA3 in quake 3, getting the air rocket accolade was soooo rewarding! And of course if accolades were made into a widget, those who didn't want it could turn it off. If you don't know what I mean, it would look similar to this:

id use it, actually got a mid air against my friend on CPMA with a grenade yesterday, felt rewarding af, btw is that video editing or an actual mod you made?

This is in the wrong forum but oh well.

Medals are really hard to do well right now because we have no access to damage logs of any sort, I also suppose players won't get access to that because it will lead to cheating (calculating your enemy HP and armor for example)

 

The things that are possible to do atm are mostly related to kills or hitscan weapons. For example, me and Qualx managed to implement a killstreak counter (like 2 frags in 2 seconds) and impressive (2 consecutive rails without missing)

 

I would wait for some kind of official support for this as it is planned (with some voice action as well ^^)

Interesting, but how would you necessarily need damage logs? Doesn't the game just need to know that a player was fragged in the air with a rocket/grenade launcher? And sorry for posting here, I saw another feature request and thought this was the right forum!

There's no immediate way of knowing whether a player is in the air or not. All you know atm is if the player jumped recently

I'm guessing you could do it based on player yspeed or something similar but that's ugly as hell

 

What I mean with damage logs is some sort of : X damage with Y type of damage from player I to player J

 

And then you could have some more booleans like: player Y: "in water" : false, "midair": true
