(slightly outdated footage, sounds no longer overlap) - recording a new video soontmS

o I rewrote my kill-streak widget to be a fully featured announcer. If you have issues, message me on discord @meowgli

Current Fully-Featured SoundPacks: Thanks @7ep3s for audio edits!

  1. Delementary - Voice lines recorded by @Delementary 
  2. BornToDo - Voice lines recorded by @BornToDoStuff
  3. Meowgli - placeholder & testing announcer with shitty editing by yours truly.- use at your own risk
  4. Dave - Default text-to-speech voice with reverb.
  5. Daniel - MLG text-to-speech announcer for thoroughly dank frag streaks.

PSSST: if you want incomplete soundpacks (quake, ut, ect) you might be able to get access to a couple files I have backed up - but I'm not allowed to put them through the workshop because of rights issues.

If you wish to try your hand at recording ~75 voice lines for a new *official* sound pack, contact me on discord @meowgli Amateur's are welcome, and you can take it in any direction you want (comedy, serious, evil, etc.)

ALL UPDATES AND FURTHER BUG FIXES WILL BE SOLELY DELIVERED THROUGH THE STEAM WORKSHOP.

  • I FIXED THE NOISY SHIT AT THE END OF GAMES - logic doing loops.. also turned off debug mode, so no/less consolespam

  • added a quake-live variant
  • other stuff that was broken is now fixed, and some things that were fine are now broken

todo:

  • tell me what to do

common problems:

  • if it says in console that "Dir" is erroring because it is nil, it is likely that your file path  to the .pak file is too long. (over 40 characters IIRC)

Would be better if it said, 'You have taken the flag' instead of 'we' since only 1 player can take it.

And yeah the quake sounds would be really annoying, it should just say Excellent if u did kill streak, and Impressive Holy shit and stuff, those double kill and triple kill, are basically only used in Counter strike lol :-D but really nice sounds anyway :D

The widget will announce ctf events even if you are not participating in them, that is why it is "we"

the quake sound option for killstreaks is what you want. (excellent). There are quite a few ways to set it up to your tastes, and if there is an option you want added let me know. killstreak sounds are used in many games, and I have tried to represent a few in my sound sets, but again I am open to adding soundsets if someone is willing to send me the files.

Do they even have checkpoints in race mode? if they do, maybe it would be nice to also add something for them, like a sound or something whenever they cross finish line or checkpoints :-) and it would be dope if you could add the HolyShit effect on ctf, you know when u kill someone who is just about to cap :-)

I have no hooks in race mode at the moment, taken the lead should work though. if you kill someone who has the flag, it will say "denied

fixed an error where lead updates would loop at the end of games. re-download if you experience this.

I may have found a bug, (at least in atdm) every time you left click while spectating it says "impressive"

can you also remove the nice, midair, duel, fight & the countdown sounds too?

 

double kill - 2 kills without dying

triple kill - 3 kills without dying

overkill - 4 kills without dying

killing spree - 5 kill streak

killing frenzy - 10 kill streak

running riot - 15 kill streak

rampage - 30 kills

untouchable - 25 kill streak

invincible - the game finishes and your opponent has 0 kills or negaive score

game over - at the end of the game, but not bothered about this 1 tbh

 

if u can't do any or need me to upload the sounds seperately let me know

big update coming with 44! Queues (no overlapping sounds), per-soundset configs(for those who want to make their own soundPacks), AWARD ANNOUNCEMENTS, new soundsets from yours truly and delementary, 50% improved performance, and a few Quality-Of-Life improvements

I made a new soundset with Quake 3 Announcer to support award announcements, also put in a few lines from quake lives vo_evil announcer.

Seemed to not work when I made it as a new soundset so I have it replace delementary for now.
