    i want to add that all you have atm is side view concept art what you don't know: their scale how it will look from pov how it will look on other players (+poses) how it will look with lighting how it will look with animations (i think that this is the point that will blow all the whiners away) how the projectiles, smoke puffs, trails, impacts, decals, etc. will look how idle, shooting, projectiles, impacts etc. will sound

    Timer Timeline Concept

    I've created a widget that shows all of the upcoming items laid out on a single horizontal timeline according to when they will respawn. Items move from right to left as they come up to spawn. The goal of the widget is to make it easier and faster for players to visually recognize when items are coming up to respawn by using shapes and movement. Download apheleon_TimerTimeline.lua and try it out yourself! Features: Built in configuration options for the widget (see screenshot below) The timeline frame color will change to match the color of the next upcoming item (Can be toggled off in the options). The time text remaining until the item respawns is only shown for the next upcoming item. This time will change to red in the last 5 seconds and show decimals The next upcoming item on the timeline will blink briefly during the final 5 seconds before it spawns (Can be toggled off in the options) A list of the available items are shown to the left of the timeline, represented by colored blocks (Can be toggled off in the options) Timeline by default shows the next 30 seconds of items (Can be configured in the options) Allows for custom labels on items that appear multiple times on a single map. Item labels can be manually customized in the lua file. e.g. "Upper YA" and "Lower YA" Available options in the widget that you can control: There is a short demonstration of what the widget looks like in use. I've enlarged the widget to make it easier to see for demonstration purposes: Let me know if you have any ideas for how to improve this or if you run into any issues.

    Amari_HUD release!

    Hi guys, I am new to Reflex but have always been a Quake III CPMA fan. I love the direction and the starting base for this game and will enjoy following its development. When I saw how much of the interface got exposed I couldn't wait to jump right in and start messing with everything. This is my ideal interface as I think it looks very clean and gives you a lot of information without overloading the screen. Screenshots: (Click to view full size) Download: Amari_HUD.rar (1.0 MB) Installation: Extract the "Amari_HUD" folder into your "+reflex_directory+baseinternalui" folder. Extract "Amari_HUD.cfg" into your Reflex's main directory. Launch the game, open your console, and type loadconfig Amari_HUD. Uninstallation: Delete the "Amari_HUD" folder in your "+reflex_directory+baseinternalui" folder. Delete "Amaru_HUD.cfg" in your Reflex's main directory. Open your console and type ui_reset to restore everything to the default settings. Features: Clean non-disruptive information. Health and Armor icon colored according to their current values. Low and empty ammo warnings in text. Timer changes color during 5 minute and 1 minute period. Timer plays 5 minute and 1 minute warning sounds (stolen from Q3). Mini scoreboard in-game (). Disabled death screen (ui_show_widget ScreenEffects 1 to re-enable). Removed redundant weapons on WeaponRack. TODO: Think of a better name for the HUD. Add ups, fps, and network information. Add sound effects for 5 minute and 1 minute warnings. Credits: Micalexan for their it pretty much started and inspired this. DraQu for their I used his edited version of MiniScores and learned how to hide the Melee and Stake Gun on the WeaponRack from looking at their HUD. Bonuspunkt for all of their lua scripts, they were very helpful and I highly recommend checking them out. If you have any feedback, suggestions, or any problems with the HUD feel free to leave a post below it's always welcome!

    People complain about everything, just because people complain every day doesn't mean they have a point. Ochlocracy is awful. Anyone capable of logical thoughts is capable of understanding that you can't generalize a gameplay mechanic as terrible without testing it in combination with other gameplay mechanics first. So instead of rampaging on ESR, IRC and the forums why can't you just be patient? You can still say "I told you so" if the timers still don't work out in a few months. Until then you will not achieve anything but a terrible atmosphere on the forums and a stressed out newborn, which in turn means development time and quality takes a hit. Your behavior is destructive and you don't even notice it. Newborn is listening to feedback from all sources and watches duels all day, that guy has spent far more time analyzing the impact of timers than anyone else in the community. I'm fairly sure if everything you say about timers was generally true they wouldn't be around anymore.

    Yeah. No more complaining about timers, cause they are decided that they are "good" and every reasonable argument against it is wrong speaking from unexperience and about not adaptation. Sounds like EU-politics over here.

    I think the main people who are hurt by it are the people who are saying it, because you dont remark on the lack of, new players think it to be important to, then skill comes from elo and not elo comes from skill. csgo/esea is a shithole now and every new player thinks rank/rws means everything from players calling them shit based on stats/rank, and players with potential just play pugs in retarded ways to boost their stats to think they are the greatest players ever

    Ricochets would be sick. But I was starting to think ricochets would be cool for the burst gun. Give it better utility as a chip weapon if you know where your opponent is.

    I've just been watching the racemode preview video on twitch. Really welcome for beginners like me. The reflexrun accelerator is the best thing ever for improving strafe jump and gaining speed. Overall understanding of the process. Guys hat off for reflexrun. In such arena fast fps shooter, beginners are like babies who need to learn how to walk. Aiming yes off course but without the moves ability and some trick knowledge, cant do much. I'm sold for the accelerometer always visible even without reflexrun hud acitvated! simple efficient. Straight to the main information. Playing with it for 15 minutes and I'm already improving some jumps, seeing my mistakes, alleluya For very new players it would be great to have ghosts we can spec with keypresses in a future for welcoming newbies. Or a bot very skilled who shows us the thing, we can spec and see trajectories.... well my mind go further on the racemode, we'll see. Warm thank you, EDIT: one extra thing on the rr_accelmeter it is not very well suited for backward strafe jumping. The counter goes backward way back under the crosshair. Maybe it would be great to keep it up on the crosshair. [above like with forward] I made it bigger with size, so it could have lead to such a behavior.

Also features a lot of bugs, using a lot of bad math tricks etc. I will try and fix those later. The setup in the screenshot is probably not ideal, just an example.     instant weapon switch

    The reason for the delay is to fix certain combos (mainly ic to bolt) which were a bit overpowered in cpma. I'm fairly sure changes will be made to it though because adding switch delays to all guns because of one or two op combos doesn't make sense either. Reflex can't surpass qw because of 100ms switch delay? We sure are good at overexaggerating on this forum.
