  2. Is a carving tool in the roadmap ?

    A carving tool would be: You create (for example) two brushes. Place them so that there is some intersection between them. The tool will separate the brushes and the intersecting region each into their own brushes (or multiple brushes if needed).
  3. Bot Feedback Thread

    Don't have video footage of this or anything but I played a few games of FFA with a friend of mine and enough bots to fill the rest of the client limit. After switching to instagib mode, something odd happened where the bots would only target and fire at my friend, but not me. This happened regardless of the skill setting for the bots. When I say they would not target me, I mean I could literally stand next to a skill 100 bot and they would just spin around and not fire a single shot.

    I would pay the same price or more than a supporter weapon to be able to use the same gold color/material to paint my robot.

    I named the map, it's called Null Refuge now. I do not think it's in a good state for tournament play at this time.

    Working under the assumption that the training maps released with this update are intended to become Reflex's official tutorials some day, I'm a bit confused about a couple of the design choices made here: I think I understand why the training mode has a time limit. It is for mappers to create challenge maps, I guess. But, why do the Reflex training maps have a time limit? IMO players should be free to go through the tutorial at their own pace and get comfortable with the game. Why do the official training maps have hidden/secret objects that must be collected to place on the leaderboard, or to be told that they "qualify"? I feel that these maps are sending the wrong message: that Reflex is about scouring maps for secrets or hidden items. With few notable exceptions, real maps indicate clearly where each item is located. inb4 someone tells me I'm terrible and misconstrues what I'm saying as complaining that the tutorials are hard. I'm not. They're not. I just think this is some weird design.

  10. Materials Question

    You'll need to bind a key to me_setmaterial in order to paint brushes with materials. I'd recommend also binding a key to me_getmaterial, so that you can pick materials from existing brushes. You can hold down the face-button (+editorfacemode) to color or grab colors from specific faces on a brush.

    This is an attempt to trim down a map I had previously created to give it a better flow for duel. Although there are many similarities, I do consider this to be a new map, and it needs testing before I start on detailing it. Features the standard Reflex item layout of 1x Mega-Health, 1x Red Armor, and 2x Yellow Armor. Every weapon is available on the map.   12. Supporter melees are changing

    I would purchase the ability to equip Gold as my player color(s) (the trim colors on the robot).
  13. Reflex 0.37.0 - Mostly eggplant

    ‚ÄčI'm pretty sure that all of these effects have been present in the engine for a long time and are intentional.
  14. ykdm2 - Silk

    I will be releasing a version of the map with full detailing and lighting at some point in the future (presumably at some point after 0.37), as well as some gameplay changes. For now, if the lightmap is too dark, you might want to try just playing without it :/
