request (not a bug) - re_export filename convention

Recommended Posts

I've noticed that re_export doesn't use a suitable prefix numbering system so they can appear out of order, e.g.

should be:

Ideally it would calculate how many frames are going to be rendered first and then add sufficient padding.

I've been using a program to rename files this way ('Bulk Rename Utility'), but it would be super swell if this could be changed. Low priority of course, I'm just reporting it cos I've been tinkering with the replay editor :P (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FNODb0n-Mcw first test!).

Never had problems with the order, Virtual Dub always did it correct.

Nonetheless a good thing to have.

I've been using ffmpeg a lot to trim videos and stitch images together, and ffmpeg requires the padding method, e.g.

ffmpeg -framerate 60 -i colour_%05d.png -c:v libx264 output.mp4

That is what I use once I have used the bulk rename utility to rename the files into the format I describe above. ffmpeg is great :D
